When you first start your account with Ipsy you are asked to take a beauty quiz so that your monthly selections can be tailored to your preferences.  If you would like to check it out, please use my referral link:                   http://www.ipsy.com/r/c7b6

This was what I received:

GLAM BAG.. I received a really cute little black and pink bag. Perfect size and shape for eyeliners!

BUMBLE AND BUMBLE ...(Blow drying creme)...Not something I would ever use, will have to find a new home for it

NOURISH ORGANIC ..(Renewing Eye Cream..Avocado) ..I had never heard of this before, will try it...love that it is Organic.

NYX ..(Butter Lip Balm- Red Velvet)... Have never used any of the NYX products before. It feels very nice on my lips..has a slight tint to it. Went right into my purse. Favorite item in the bag.

TARTE (Light, Camera, Lashes 4 in 1 Mascara) ... I am not a mascara fan, never have been. Would have much rather had an eyeliner.  Will have to find a new home for this.

Crownbrush.com (Crease Shadow Brush) ...Not something I would normally use so will probably pass this one along as well..

Overall review of the box: I always enjoy getting my Ipsy bag.  However this month was more misses than hits.  3 of the 5 items won't be used. Hoping for a better bag next month. Again if you would like to try out Ipsy for yourself feel free to use my referral link:   http://www.ipsy.com/r/c7b6

NatureBox December 2014 Subscription Box

Naturebox  is monthly subscription box that delivers "nutritious and delicious snacks for under $20/month. For every box we deliver, we donate one meal to provide food to the hungry".   In their monthly Deluxe NatureBox you will receive  5 full-sized bags for only $19.95 per month + FREE SHIPPING.

This is what I received in this box:

3.5oz package
ASIAGO & CHEDDAR CHEESE CRISPS (3.5 servings per bag ..10 pieces per serving .. 130 calories, 0g sugar)...These are my favorite from this box.. They have a great flavor and crunch. I like to float a couple pieces on top of a hot bowl of soup, so good as they slowly start to melt.

5oz package:
COUNTRY RANCH SUNFLOWER KERNALS (4.5 servings per bag..1/4 cup per serving 190 calories, less than 1g sugar).. I love these on salads. I only use about 1 Tbsp just to get a nice crunch. I love ranch dressing but avoid it, actually love it too much..LOL So these have a great ranch flavor for a lot less calories than the actual dressing.

3.2oz package
HONEY NUT MEDLEY (honey roasted mixed nuts):  (3 servings per bag.. 1/4 cup per serving.. 170 calories, 9g sugar)... These went right into Barry's lunch bag. He loved them!

5oz package
POPPY SEED STICKS (sesame sticks with poppy seeds):  (4.5 servings per bag.. 1/4 cup per serving..160 calories, 0g sugar) ...These have a great crunch and flavor to them. Love them mixed into a salad in place of croutons...Or paired with some fresh fruit for a great sweet/savory combination snack.

5oz bag:
MINI MEDJOOLS (medjool dates) : (3.5 servings per bag.. 3 pieces per serving.. 120 calories, 25g sugar) .... I don't use medjools as a sack I use them as an ingredient in recipes. Sometimes they are hard to find so I was glad to see them on the NatureBox snack list. I will be using this bag in a raw brownie recipe.  They can also be used with raw almonds when making your own almond milk.

Overall review of the sampler box: This was a wonderful box.  Really enjoyed every snack and would get them all again sometime.  Very happy to have the medjools for my brownie recipe. Feel free to use my link to receive $10 off of your first box! :)   http://fbuy.me/-ULI

BarkBox December 2014 Subscription Box

BarkBox is "A box of high quality dog products for your pup, delivered to your door each month."  BarkBox is $29.99 a month (shipping included) and you can customize the box to fit the size of your dog.  Tiny (less than 10lbs),  Small & Cute (10-20lbs),  Just Right (20-50lbs), Big and Bold (50+ lbs). I was very excited to get Eenie signed up so that she would have a special gift under the Christmas tree this year.

This is what she received (I looked but Eenie can't see until Christmas morning!):

BARKMADE YULETIDE LOG ...This was the first thing I saw when I opened the box and thought it was adorable...BUT then I looked at the label and saw "Made in China"... We are very careful about not buying any treats or toys for her made in China, so I was so disappointed to see this. We will just end up using it as a decoration.

BOCCE'S BAKERY LUMPS OF COAL (USA made).. I'm sure Eenie will love these...I love that they are made with only 4 ingredients.

SAFEMADE HOLIDAY TARTAN BANDANA... It's really cute, I like the side with the candy cane stripes...the other side is reindeer and trees. We will "attempt" to get this on her on Christmas morning. I don't know if we will be successful or not, she has never worn a bandana...LOL I do know that while trying she will roll over on her back..kick her legs up in protest and then give us the saddest looking eyes wondering why we are torturing her..LOL

PLANET DOG LUMP OF COAL (Made in the USA)...Eenie loves playing with balls so I'm sure she will love this..

ETTA SAYS DUCK CHEW (Made in the USA, based out of St Louis Missouri).. Eenie has never had anything duck before so not sure if she will like this or not.

Overall review of the box: First impression was rough when I saw the Made in China product, and I immediately felt disappointed. However, I am pleased with the other items in the box and hope to get some great pictures of Eenie with her box on Christmas morning.

Kitnip is  "A monthly box of goodies for your cat!"  There are two price options for boxes. The "Happy Cat" box is $19 a month (shipping included) and the "Multi-cat" box which is $29 a month (shipping included).  I signed up for the "Happy Cat" box for our Grayzee Mayzee for Christmas. There was a code to use for 15% off the box. The code is still available until 12/15 it is HOLIDAY15

We have received the box already and it is under the tree. Grayzee has not seen it yet, but I took a sneak peek and already know he is going to love it.

Here is what he received:

TWINKLE MOUSE IN MOTION TOY

SCRATCHING TOP TOY

CATNIP KITTY CANE

HAND-BAKED TREATS

HANDMADE CATNIP PILLOW TOY

Overall review of the box: I know already Grayzee Mayzee will love it! Will take updated pics of him on Christmas morning. Such a great way to spoil that special furbaby in your life. Don't forget you still have a few more days to use the 15% discount code HOLIDAY15

"The Executive"  is what Barry uses and LOVES ($9 option). He has been using only these razors since we signed him up in June. With the cooler weather he tends to shave less often, so we have spaced out deliveries. The Dollar Shave Club site is very easy to use and you can quickly change your deliveries to every other month or whenever is best for you.  You can also very easily change your subscription to try out the other razors offered. I use "The Lovers Blade" ($6 option) and also love it as well.

Overall review of the box.. We are both extremely impressed at the quality of the razors and with the ease of navigating the DSC website.

Again if you are interested in trying them out for yourself or a loved one feel free to use our referral link:

Try the World Subscription Box - Holiday Box 2014

Try the World is the "first gourmet tour around the world delivered to your door" box. Boxes are $38.99 a month. They do from time to time run special discounts or promotions. I came across a promotion to purchase their Paris Box and receive their Holiday Box for FREE. I couldn't pass it up. Paris Box came first, LOVED it. Holiday Box came about a week later.

This is what I received in the Holiday Box:

URBANI TARTUFI (Truffle products) ... Love the favor of truffles so was very excited to  see these. I received two truffle chocolate pieces. One white chocolate, one dark chocolate. The truffle taste was stronger in the white but both were equally delicious. I also received a one time use sample of "fine olive oil with white truffle essence" .. Still trying to decide what to use it on! :)

RIP VAN WAFELS (Traditional Dutch waffles) ..There were 2 waffles in the box. One traditional, which I have had before and already know is delicious. The other was a cocoa filled one, it was good but still prefer the traditional. They are chewy and crispy and best paired with a nice cup of tea or coffee.

DOCE DE LEITE (Milky spreads) ..These come from Brazil and come in three different flavors: Doce de Leite com Amexia (prune flavor) , Doce de Leite, ("sweet milk"),  Doce de Leite com Coco (coconut). Suggestion for these is to use them on toast, crepes, ice cream or fruit. I was disappointed to see that they are made with Splenda. So will be passing these along to someone else.

LE PALAIS DES THES (Fine teas) ... I love trying new teas...also had this brand in the Paris Box

ANNA'S (Swedish Thins-Ginger) ..I've had the Anna's cookies before, but not the ginger flavor. They are really crispy and good. I crushed a couple and added them to some Greek yogurt. They also go very nicely as a snack with a cup of tea. (6 cookies in 1 serving)

LES CONFITURES A L'ANCIENNE (Hot Chocolate powder- France) ..You can smell the cocoa through the package. I am saving these to have on Christmas Eve while I am watching my "A Christmas Story" marathon!

FAVARGER (Swiss chocolate) ... Nothing bad you can say about Swiss chocolate. It's so creamy and delicious! It was hard to limit myself to just a couple squares at a time! LOL

MYSTERY TREAT: Every box comes with a "mystery treat" ...I was really hoping for the Baci that was featured in several pictures of the holiday. In Canada it could be found everywhere and Barry loved it. Here in the US, we haven't found it yet.  Sadly we didn't get it though instead we got:

RESERVA DE MINAS(Geleia de Pessego..peach preserves, peach jam- Brazil):  It's a cute little jar, nicely packaged of what I translate to be peach jam.  Haven't tried it yet. Thinking it may be very nice though used as a glaze for Ina Garten's Apple Galette..her recipe calls for Apricot Jelly or Jam. Thinking the peach would make a great substitution. Will be making it for Christmas Eve

Overall review of this box: Didn't love it , but liked it very much. Was more intrigued with the Paris Box.  It was packaged beautifully though and I appreciate the opportunity of getting to try the boxes with the special pricing.

Naturebox November 2014 Subscription Box ( Box 2)

Naturebox  is monthly subscription box that delivers "nutritious and delicious snacks for under $20/month. For every box we deliver, we donate one meal to provide food to the hungry".   In their monthly Deluxe NatureBox you will receive  5 full-sized bags for only $19.95 per month + FREE SHIPPING.

This is what I received in this box:

3.7oz package
PUMPKIN SPICE NOM NOMS (5 servings per bag ..1 piece each..per serving 100 calories, 6g sugar)...These are my favorite from this box! These are so good, they are small but filling. At 100 calories each they make a great quick midday snack.

5oz package:
GARLIC PLANTAINS (5 servings per bag..25 pieces per serving 150 calories, 2g sugar).. These are delicious. Great crunch and just enough garlic so that they are not overpowering.

4oz package
LEMON TEA BISCUITS:  (4 servings per bag.. 12 cookies per serving.. 150 calories, 9g sugar)... Only because I am a lemon addict, I would have liked a stronger lemon flavor. I still loved them and they reminded me of the shortbread cookies found mostly around the holidays. I really enjoyed them and look forward to using them as a snack with a nice cup of tea.

5oz package
HARVEST RICE STICKS (crackers made from wild rice):  (4.5 servings per bag.. 1/4 cup per serving..150 calories, 0g sugar) ...These have a great crunch and flavor to them. Will be a great addition to a salad in place of croutons.

3oz bag:
SALT AND PEPPER LENTIL LOOPS (baked lentil & potato crisps) : (3 servings per bag..  130 calories, less than 1g sugar) .... These are really good and again a nice item with a good crunch.  Nice peppery taste in the background.

Overall review of the sampler box: This was a perfect box. Great mix of savory & sweet! Really enjoyed every snack and would get them all again sometime.
Feel free to use my link to receive $10 off of your first box! :)   http://fbuy.me/-ULI

Try the World Subscription Box -Paris Box

Try the World is the "first gourmet tour around the world delivered to your door" box. Boxes are $38.99 a month. They do from time to time run special discounts or promotions. I came across a promotion to purchase their Paris Box and receive their Holiday Box for free. I couldn't pass it up. Paris Box came first, Holiday Box will be shipped soon.

This is what I received in the Paris Box:

CLEMENT FAUGIER (Chestnut Spread) ...I had never tried anything like this before. It was better than I expected it to be. Thinking to get the full enjoyment out of it I should try it next time on some sort of pastry like a croissant rather than just my finger.. LOL

LE SAUNIER DE CAMARGUE (Fleur de sel /Flower of Salt) ..Love Fleur de Sel and can't wait to try this one.

BRITTANY (Salted Butter Caramels) ..Barry is more of a caramel fan and said these were delicious!

LE PALAIS DES THES (Fine teas) ... I love trying new teas!

CHARLES ANTONA (Minna Organic Jam) ..This is a fig and walnut jam! I LOVE anything fig and this is absolutely delightful. I know already I will be sad when my jar is empty and will have to order more!

DOMAINE DES VIGNES (Dijon Mustard/ Whole Grain) ..I am a mustard fanatic. I have at least 10 different varieties in my frig at all times! Whole grain is one of my favorites. Will be using mixed with roasted onions and potatoes ASAP!

LA MERE POULARD (Sables) ...Delicious cookie...similar to the shortbread cookies that everyone gets in the blue tins during the holidays. These are even more buttery and delicate though.

Overall review of this box: LOVED this box. One of my new favorite subscription boxes. It was packaged beautifully and it was such a nice mix of savory & sweet items. Can't wait to see what is in the Holiday Box.

Ipsy November 2014 Subscription Box/Glam Bag

Ipsy is a monthly sample beauty subscription box/"glam bag". The cost is $10 month (shipping included). Each month you will receive 5 beauty products + a makeup bag. When you first start your account with Ipsy you are asked to take a beauty quiz so that your monthly selections can be tailored to your preferences.  If you would like to check it out, please use my referral link:                   http://www.ipsy.com/r/c7b6

This was what I received:

GLAM BAG..this month's theme is Girl Meets Glitter. So I received a really cute little grey glittered bag. I always love the bags and find great uses for them.

MARC ANTHONY ...(Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Hairspray)...Even though I don't use a lot of hair products (did all that in the 80's-90's!..LOL) I have heard good things about argan oil products. I am excited to try the hairspray.

TARTE ..(Maracuja Oil) ..Haven't heard of this brand or this oil. Will be trying it on my skin this weekend.

ELIZABETH MOTT ..(Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner)... Have never used any of the Elizabeth Mott products before. ALWAYS love getting new eyeliners to try!

LA COLORS (Chunky Lip Pencil-Wine) ..Love this lip pencil even though the whole thing popped out when I opened it.. :(  I got it back in and just have to remember to push it down a little when I use it and then have to remember to wipe off my finger before I touch anything else..LOL  It was a bit too bright for me when I first put it on, but after I mixed it with 2 warmer shades of lipstick that I already had I ended up with a really nice shade!

TEMPTU (S/B Highlighter -Pink Pearl) ...Not something I would normally use so will probably pass this one along.

Overall review of the box: I always enjoy getting my Ipsy bag.  All new brands for me this month! Eyeliner and Lip Pencil were my favorites and will get used the most.
Again if you would like to try out Ipsy for yourself feel free to use my referral link:   http://www.ipsy.com/r/c7b6

Frenchbox November 2014 Subscription Box

Frenchbox is a way to discover "the latest products from France every month" . Boxes are $24 a month (shipping included) but they do run a special to try your first box for $14. I was very currious about the box so went ahead with the $14 first box deal.

This is what I received:

PIER AUGE (Radiant Mask for all skin types)... I have never heard of this brand before and will give it a try. It is scented but doesn't seem too overpowering.

SEGAFREDO (Ground coffee) ..We do not have a coffee maker so not sure what to do with it.. Maybe I can incorporate it into some recipes somehow...

GUERLAIN (Moisturizing foundation) Mostly disappointed in the size of this one. It's just a one time use sample packet.

LEONARD (perfume sample)... It has a nice light scent to it, just not my style. Will be passing this on.

PARIS (pocket mirror) ...This is actually a really cute mirror and I did put it in my purse right away.

LIDO (magnet & charm) ..This to me just seemed like something they threw in the box to make it look like there was more items. :(

Overall review of the box: Wanted to love this box but didn't. I wished I had signed up one month earlier for the October box because it was filled with more items I would actually have used.  This box just seemed like it was all thrown together at the last minute. I was very glad I only paid $14 to try it rather than the $24. I love subscription boxes so much and hate giving a bad review.

NatureBox November 2014 Subscription Box

Naturebox  is monthly subscription box that delivers "nutritious and delicious snacks for under $20/month. For every box we deliver, we donate one meal to provide food to the hungry".   In their monthly Deluxe NatureBox you will receive  5 full-sized bags for only $19.95 per month + FREE SHIPPING.

This is what I received in this box (in order from favorite to least favorite):

5.5oz package
CHIA SEED CRACKERS (5 servings per bag ..1/3 cup each..per serving 170 calories, 0g sugar)...These are my favorite from this box! Great flavor & crunch. Will be using them as a snack  w/ hummus, cubes of cheese, or fresh fruit. Might also try them tossed into a salad in place of croutons.

3oz package
LEMON ALMOND BISCOTTI BITES:  (3 servings per bag..5 pieces per serving 150 calories, 11g sugar).. These reminded me of an animal cracker but in a good way! These are the grown up version.. LOL. Would have loved a bit more lemon flavor. I found that just 2 satisfied my sweet craving! Love them.

5oz package
CHEDDAR AND ONION SUNFLOWER KERNALS:  (4.5 servings per bag.. 1/4 cup per serving.. 180 calories, 1g sugar)... This was the first bag I opened out of the box. They came just in time to add to a salad. Only used about 1tbsp and they added a nice onion flavor & crunch to it. Tasting more onion than cheddar flavor. Another one I love.

4.5oz package
SRIRACHA RICE CRACKERS:  (4.5 servings per bag.. 1/2 cup per serving..90 calories, 1g sugar) ...These I had hoped would be a bit hotter & spicier. They have a nice crunch to them but just "ok" for me.

5oz bag:
MAPLE HABANERO PRETZEL POPS : (5 servings per bag.. 1/3 cup per serving 110 calories, 10g sugar) .... These I am on the fence about. Didn't hate them, didn't love them. With the maple flavor they reminded me of cereal. So now think of cereal with hot sauce on it... LOL

Overall review of the sampler box: Overall I was very pleased with this box. 3 of the 5 I really loved and would choose again. Every month you choose what bags you want to receive. So if you prefer a more savory box it's up to you.
Feel free to use my link to receive $10 off of your first box! :)   http://fbuy.me/-ULI

Petit Vour September 2014 Subscription Box

Petit Vour is a monthly beauty box that "helps you discover the latest luxury vegan beauty products"...  Boxes are $15 a month (shipping included).  You can also earn PV points when your name is used as a reference.  Please feel free to use my name Kimm Jones Furlotte in the "How did you hear about us?" box when you sign up. Thank you in advance! ;)

This was what I received in my box:

ELLOVI (Tinted Lip Butter)... Very nice and smooth...The tint is made from a Mediterranean flower called alkanet. It went right into my purse. I like that the tint is very light. I once made a horrible mistake with a tinted lip balm..I had been outside and had horribly chapped lips, grabbed what I thought was my plain lip balm and smeared it all over my lips. It was my reddish tinted lip balm and I made myself look like a clown. My husband is permanently scarred with the image of my clown lips!  LOL

LILY LOLO (Mineral Eyeshadow) ..Excited to try this. Love trying new eyeshadow..

ROOT SCIENCE (Skincare RS Detox).. Another new product to me that I hope will help with my winter skin issues.

YAROK (Leave-In Conditioner)...I don't do a lot of blow drying or heat styling so will probably give this away to someone who will get more use out of it.

Overall review of the box: .. so many great new products to try. Best of all no animals were harmed in the making of any of them! :)  Again if you decide to sign up please use my name as your reference (Kimm Jones Furlotte)  :)

Mary's Secret Ingredients Fall 2014 Subscription Box

Mary's Secret Ingredients is "a limited edition culinary surprise box containing unique gourmet, artisanal ingredients, and small kitchen products." It is a seasonal box offered 4 times a year. The price is $25.95 (shipping included).  This was my first box, the Fall box.  I ordered it at the end of July so I have been anxiously awaiting it's Sept 25th ship date! Winter boxes are now on sale and will be shipped Nov 25th. Order now before they sell out!

This is what I received in my first box:

CALPHALON (Nylon Turner with Serrated Edge)... Love all kitchen gadgets! I don't have anything like this so I am excited to use it!

FALKSALT (Sprinkle Falksalt Crystal Flakes Citron ..Product of Cyprus by way of Sweden) ...I think this is my favorite item. LOVE anything lemon. Will be using this on roasted veggies for sure and maybe even on eggs or ice cream!

HARMONIAN (Kalamata PDO Extra Virgin Olive Oil ..Product of Greece) ...Love kalamatas.. thinking this might make a wonderful vinaigrette! Another product I am so excited to use!

KIND (Dark Chocolate Mocha Almond Bar 200 calories, 5g sugar).. Big fan of the Kind products. Had never tried this flavor before. Enjoyed it very much today for my midday snack.

CHELSEA MARKET BASKETS/ KALK BAY SPICES (Smolder Spice Grinder ..Product of South Africa)).. Barry already claimed this item and will be using it. I am not a big fan of smoked flavorings but he is.  It is made with Smoked Salt, Smoked Paprika, Smoked Garlic, & Smoked Peppercorns

THE PANTRY CLUB (Spinach Dip Mix) ...I have a favorite Spinach Dip recipe already..but will gladly give this a try. It says all you need is the seasonings, sour cream and a little mayo but I may add some chopped frozen spinach as well. Now if I could just find those pretzel spoons (yes spoons made out of pretzels!..LOL)  in my grocery store I would be all set!  LOL

TOVOLO (The Perfect Poach..20 bags) ..They promise to make perfectly poached eggs. Something I have never been able to do!  LOL  Barry has already requested that I try them out for our Sunday morning breakfast together. Hopefully I don't end up with just a pot of egg drop soup!  LOL

Overall review of the box: LOVED it. So many great new items to try!  Can't wait to see what is in the Winter box! Again the Winter Box is on sale now, but won't ship until Nov 25th.  There is only a limited amount of boxes each season. So grab it now before it's too late! :)

Love With Food September 2014 Subscription Box

What is great about Love with Food is that they will match each box sold and donate a box. One box donated for their small box.. Two boxes donated for their deluxe boxes. I have the smaller box. I love that all of the snacks are within my 100-150 calorie range that I like to be at for my midday snacks. Boxes start at $12 a month but there is almost always a discount going on..Current discount is getting your first box FREE only charge is $2.00 for shipping! Please feel free to use my referral link to take advantage of this wonderful deal...(if for some reason you do not like the box you are under no obligation to keep the subscription and can cancel at anytime).. My personal Love with Food referral link:  http://lovewithfood.com/invite?m=r&ref=GNQ

I had canceled my subscription a couple months ago. Love With Food sent me an email asking me to come back and offered a FREE box. So I signed back up. :) This month's theme is "Spice It Up" . This is what I received:

WAY BETTER SNACKS-  (Simply So Sweet Chili Tortilla Chips)... had these today for a midday snack.. I had heard of Way Better Snacks but had never tried them. They had a really nice heat and good crunch to them. I enjoyed them.

FOGG CITY SPICE CO- (Lemon Rosemary Seasoning)...Can't wait to try this..thinking it would be perfect on both roasted potatoes & roasted chick peas!

ZIGGY MARLEY ORGANICS - (Roasted Hemp Seeds..Sea Salt & Pepper flavor)...love hemp seeds and always throw them on salads or in smoothies. These are really good and will be used on salads for sure. They reminded me of when you eat sunflower seeds and eat the shell as well, either by accident or on purpose!  LOL

AMAZING GRASS - (Green Superfood..Chocolate Infusion flavor)..This one looks intriguing. I think this will be great in a smoothie with some almond milk, banana, and maybe some coffee ice cubes.

SHOTWELL CANDY CO - (5 Spice Caramels) .. Barry is more of a caramel fan so these will be making their way into his lunch bag.

MARUSOY- (Ghost Soy Sauce).. Can't wait to try this although my mouth is burning just thinking about it. It's made with ghost chili powder! Still trying to decide what to use it for...maybe to marinate some mushrooms for a veggie mushroom burger.

MANDY'S- (Rich Chocolate Cookie Thins).. These are perfect for a midday snack. Package is 5 thin cookies for 90 calories and only 6g sugar. To me they taste like a thinner version of an Oreo cookie (just the black part not the filling) but a lot less sweet.  Just had a tiny taste..saving them to enjoy with a nice cup of tea

LOVE WITH FOOD-  (Churro Kettle Corn) package is 140 calories, 6g sugar.. so fits nicely into my snack guidelines.. Nice way to get that great cinnamon churro flavor experience without eating a deep fried churro and then feeling guilty later on..lol

Overall review of this box:  I thought this was a great box! I appreciate that Love With Food reached out and offered this box to me. It is always a fun box and I highly recommend trying their FREE box offer! Again feel free to use my referral link:

Farm to People September 2014 Subscription Box

Farm to People "connects independent farmers and craft producers with consumers."  They offer two tasting boxes "The Casual Foodie" (3 to 4 products $29.95 shipping included)  & "The Food Critic" (5 to 8 products $49.95 shipping included). I came across a discount code and purchased "The Casual Foodie" for $23 total price. I was very excited about my first box.

When I went out to get the mail today I noticed that I had received my Farm to People box! BUT then I saw the dreaded "damage to your box" label from the Post Office. As I picked it up I could also smell a very strong pickling smell. When I opened the box I was very sad to see that there had been a problem with a jar of pickled asparagus. There was NO lid on it and all the juices had spilled. What a mess. Luckily 2 of the other items were also in jars and could easily be cleaned off and still used. So I will break up this review into 2 categories. The damaged & the usable.

Damaged:
ERIC PICKLES from York, PA (Pickled Asparagus)... Jar opened, packaged with NO lid. While they sound delicious they had to thrown right into the garbage...

NUTS &  BOLTS from Brooklyn, NY (Almond Cookies - Gluten Free & Vegan) ..Again these sounded delicious but upon further inspection one end of the package was open and they also had to be thrown out. Actually made me sad to throw them away...would have made a great snack with a cup of green tea..

Usable:
BETTER OFF SPREAD from Brooklyn, NY (Spicy Peanut Butter)...I couldn't resist and just had to have a quick taste. Spicy & delicious. I can't wait to use it in an Asian style noodle recipe!

RED JACKET from Geneva, NY (Grape Jam) ..Honestly I have grape jam on my shopping list for the weekend to make Barry more of the BBQ Grape Jam meatballs that he loves. So I was very excited to see this in my box.  Might have to sneak a taste of it for myself on some toast in the morning first.

Overall review of the box: Of course I am so disappointed that I lost 2 of the 4 items I received. The items I can use will be put to good use... The Farm to People did get back to me and got my subscription canceled for now...and also offered to send out the 2 replacements.  I do appreciate them doing that.

UPDATE (Sept 24th): Replacement box received. Asparagus received in perfect condition. Cookies AGAIN were open.  Not asking for anymore replacements. Giving up on getting all 4 items... :(

PopSugar Must Have September 2014 Subscription Box

PopSugar Must Have Box is a monthly subscription box that offers fun products from fashion, beauty, home & fitness. Boxes are $39.95 a month (shipping included). I had been wanting to try the box for awhile. I was very lucky to come across a $10 off code for the September box so had to get it!

Here is what I received in my first box:

TILO SCARVES (Modal Gradation Scarf in Raisin) ...When I saw this hand dyed scarf as a spoiler for the September box it sealed the deal for me. Loved the look of it just in pictures. In person I can't even describe in words how LOVELY & BEAUTIFUL it really is. I don't normally put values in my box reviews because so many of the items I receive are by brands I have never heard of making their value priceless to me. BUT. This scarf has a retail value of $125! Tilo scarves are sold at Saks Fith Avenue, Fred Segal, & Ron Herman. I have never been in any of those stores, ever! I am a thrift store girl.. LOL  Now if we could only get some cooler temps here in Vegas so I could actually wear it outside and show it off!

NICOLE MILLER (Stereo Earbuds) ...Barry grabbed these away from me before I could even get a close up look at them... He uses earbuds every day  Good thing they came in blue and not pink!  LOL

URBAN REMEDY (Almond Brownie) ...A vegan, gluten free, raw brownie..perfect for me! Similar ingredients to a brownie I make except I also add black beans.  Had to sneak a small bite even thought it wasn't time for my daily snack...delicious! Urban Remedy also sent a $10 off $50 purchase gift card.

ORIBE (Superfine Purse Size Hair Spray) ...not really a big hair spray person, did all that in the 80's/90's ...lol  but I am dressing for Halloween this year so will use it then on my hair.

LETTER C DESIGN (Gold Foil Arrow Pencils)...I don't even think I have one pencil in the house and wasn't sure what I would use them for...LOL  Then remembered that Barry can use them when he paints to sketch out his design on his canvas!

RIFLE PAPER CO  (Garance Dore Assorted Girls Set 4 designs (2 of each design)).. This is a really cute note card set. Since I am a card maker myself I may have to add a few embellishments to them before I send them out. Just to give them my own personal touch,

NIKE ($20 Gift Card)... We don't normally wear anything Nike but I'm sure Barry can find something to spend this on.

GHIRADELLI (Milk Chocolate Sea Salt & Almond Minis).. Probably not the best idea to send these in the summer time to Vegas!.. I knew as soon as I picked up the bag it was more like a bag of chocolate soup!  LOL  but put them right into the freezer and I think I was able to save them. Will send them in Barry's lunch bag tomorrow, he loves anything with chocolate & almonds.

Overall review of the box:  LOVED it!!  If all they had sent was just the scarf I would have been happy. Everything else is just a nice bonus.  Last I read there are still September boxes with this scarf still available! If you are interested in trying the PopSugar Must Have Box feel free to use my referral code and save $5!  http://bit.ly/1sqeEeX

BEAUTY WITHOUT CRUELTY ..(Sweet Lavender Hand & Body Treatment/Lotion) ..Lavender is always such a nice calming scent..It's a nice lotion not greasy or oily at all

HIKARI (Lipstick-Cabernet)... The color is a bit bright for me..but I love mixing colors. With the right gloss it will be perfect.

PACIFICA (Eye Liner- Gun Metal) ..I love all eye liners. I have never tried this greyish color before, normally just wear black Will be fun to experiment with it.

BE A BOMBSHELL COSMETICS (Smooth Criminal Powder) ..I don't normally use powder so this may end up finding a new home.

This is what I received in this box:

5.5oz package
SANTA FE CORN STIX (5 servings per bag ..1/3 cup each..per serving 140 calories, 1g sugar)...I opened these and divided them into servings and put them back in the bag so I can grab them when I am on the go. Love these, they are always my favorite part of any snack mixes that I have bought before.

4.3oz package
CHILI MUNCH MIX: Spicy Trail Mix with Nuts and Seeds (4 servings per bag..1/4 cup per serving 160 calories, 1g sugar).. Also divided these up into individual servings. Really good, nice seasoning on them.

3.3oz package
COFFEE KETTLE POPCORN: Kettle Corn with Coffee Caramelized Popcorn (3 servings per bag.. 3/4 cup per serving.. 120 calories, 15g sugar)... Obviously with the sugar grams this was an indulgence!..LOL  This is really good, nice coffee flavor. This would make a great addition to a coffee themed gift basket for a friend.

3oz package
CASHEW POWER CLUSTERS: Nut Squares with Cashews (3 servings per bag.. 1/4 cup per serving..150 calories, 4g sugar) ...These are going into Barry's lunch bag!

3oz bag:
PISTACHIO POWER CLUSTERS :Nut Squares with Almonds, Cashews and Pistachios (3 servings per bag.. 1/4 cup per serving 150 calories, 5g sugar) .... We received a bag of these in last month's sampler box and Barry loved them. I made sure he would get another bag in this months box.

Overall review of the sampler box: Every month you choose what bags you want to receive. So if you prefer a more savory box it's up to you.  I do wish they had an option of receiving already portioned out packages, mainly to stop myself from over indulging!  LOL   Feel free to use my link to receive $10 off of your first box! :)   http://fbuy.me/-ULI

This was what I received in my first Ipsy:

MAKEUP BAG..a cute little orange polka dot bag that will be great for holding all of my eyeliners

LABORATORIES  KLORANE ...(Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk)...curious to try as I have never used a dry shampoo before

COASTAL SCENTS ..(Forever Blush Duo) ..I don't wear blush but with some color mixing I think I can make them work as an eyeshadow instead! :)

JERSEY SHORE SUN (Mongongo Lip Conditioner)... I have dry lips so had to try this right away. It was nice, a little waxy but not bad. Nice light mandarin orange smell.

J. CAT BEAUTY (Flying Solo Eyeshadow- Half Naked) ..Love the natural color. Container was very cute and even came with a small mirror and applicator

URBAN DECAY (24/7 Velvet Glide On Eye Pencil-Plushie) ..LOVE eye liners/pencils! I am new to the Urban Decay brands and I was really impressed. It really does glide on with no smudging.

Overall review of the box: I really liked my first Ipsy. I was not familiar with any of these brands before, and I think it is a great way to get to know them without making a huge purchase and possibly being disappointed.  Again if you would like to try out Ipsy for yourself feel free to use my referral link:   http://www.ipsy.com/r/c7b6

Graze Aug 2014 (Box 6) Subscription Box

The Graze subscription box is a portion controlled snack box. You receive 4 snacks in each box for a price of $6 (including shipping!). You can choose to receive the boxes anywhere from once a month to every week ($6 per box). You can cancel at anytime. You can use a fellow Graze members referral code and receive your 1st and 5th box FREE.  You can go through the Graze snack list and read each description and "trash" the ones you are not interested in trying.  I try to keep all my snacks in the 150 and below calorie range and also watch the sugar grams.  If you would like to try a FREE box please feel free to use my referral code/link: https://www.graze.com/us/p/BARRYF3NU

This is what I received in this box:

YAKI SOBA -  (Soba peanuts, edamame beans, noodles, & chili broad beans) 160 calories, less than 1g sugar ... This was good because it didn't have a ton of the edamame beans in it. Saved some of this to use in an Asian style salad for some extra crunch.

KEEN BEAN - (Edamame beans, chili broad beans, & redskin peanuts) 160 calories, 1g sugar .... I had 2 "trashed" selections show up in my box, this was one of them. It was mostly just edamame beans..didn't care for it.

SUMMER BERRY FLAPJACK - (Rustic rolled oat flapjack with berry infused cranberries) 230 calories,  16g sugar...I received a flapjack option in my last 2 Graze boxes and really enjoyed them. Since they are over the calories and sugar grams I like to be at for a snack, what I ended up doing  is instead of using it as only 1 snack I stretched them out into 3 snacks. I either pair 1 flapjack with some fresh fruit or a couple raw nuts.  :)

SMOKEY BBQ CORN - (Smoked cashews and jumbo corn) 150 calories, less than 1g sugar ... I had "trashed" this option so not sure why it was sent..I do not like smokey flavored anything, but thought it might be ok. Took one bite and into the real trash it went. :(

Overall review of this box:  This unfortunately wasn't my best Graze box. Two of the snacks I received I had previously "trashed" so I was very disappointed to find them in my box.  I still enjoy the Graze boxes and will continue to recommend them.

CINNAMON SWIRL KETTLE KERNALS (Cinnamon roasted kettle kernals) 130 calories, 2g sugar.. This looks like a perfect way to satisfy both a sweet and crunchy craving!

GARDEN TOMATO CRUNCHIES (Tomato flavored almonds) 160 calories, 2g sugar..Thinking about throwing these into a salad for a nice crunch!

COCONUT CASHEWS (Coconut cashews) 140 calories, 8g sugar ...LOVE anything coconut..saving these to help when I get a sweet craving!

3oz bag:
PISTACHIO POWER CLUSTERS (Nut squares with almonds, cashews and pistachios) per 1/4 cup serving 150 calories, 5g sugar .... I already know Barry will be swiping these to go in his lunch bag!  LOL

Overall review of the sampler box: I love the little 1oz packages..So convenient for daily snacks and all within the calorie and sugar gram range I like to be in. Wish I could get a box of the 1oz bags rather than the full sized bags!  For $2 it's well worth it to try the box!  https://naturebox.com/sampler

My Bakers Box August 2014 Subscription Box

My Bakers Box is a box for anyone that loves to bake & decorate. "Each month you will receive a special box full of unique baking supplies, recipes, ideas and so much more" .Boxes are $25 a month (including shipping). In July they ran a special Buy One Month, Get One Free Month which I signed up for right away! I received my first box last month (BEE theme), today I received my August box that was FREE! The theme for the August box is ICE CREAM.

This is what was included in the box:

MINI ICE CREAM CONES (8 cones)... you can fill these with brownies, candies, mini cupcakes and more...Thinking I will try them soon with some angel food cake & strawberries..

ICE CREAM SUGAR DEC-ONS ...(8 pcs)... shaped like mini ice cream cones & popsicles.. so cute!

ICE CREAM CONE COOKIE CUTTER (1)...it is absolutely adorable!

J & K  CHOCOLATE GOURMET CHOCOLATE SAUCE.. I'm sure Barry will enjoy this on some ice cream ASAP!

POLKA DOT NUT CUPS ...(8 cups).. these can be used to bake cupcakes in or to serve ice cream

RAINBOW & CHOCOLATE JIMMIES... (1 bag of each)..I had some of the chocolate ones also in the last box..they just look like "sprinkles" to me..again not sure why some people call them "Jimmies"...  I think they would sound strange to say "can I have some jimmies on my ice cream?"... LOL

Overall review of this box: This is a really fun box. You can tell that a lot of thought & care is put into the gathering of supplies and the packaging.
I hope that everyone who loves to bake will give them a try! :)

Nibblr August 2014 Subscription Box

The Nibblr subscription box is a portion controlled snack box. You receive 4 snacks per box and can choose from their list of mixes which ones you are most interested in. Example if you hate coconut, you go through their list of snacks and click on "not interested" for all the coconut mixes.. Boxes are $5.99 each, that includes shipping!.  If anyone is interested in trying a FREE box you can use my friend code of 3842 to sign up. I choose to keep all my snacks under 150 calorie range and to keep the sugar grams low.  Love having snacks portioned out and ready to go..

This box included:

AUTUMN CRISPS (80 calories, 5g sugar) -  Mini Crisps with Cranberries, Pecans, Sunflower Seeds, and Sesame Seeds.. Excited to try these. Saving them to enjoy with a nice cup of tea.

WASABELOVE (150 calories, 1g sugar) -Corn Nuts and Wasabi Peas Snack Mix ...I have had this before and I did like it..but was a little disappointed to already start getting repeats when there are still so many more to try.  Will just have to easily change it to "not interested" for now so it doesn't show up again in the next box too.. ;)  It is worth a try if you haven't had it..those wasabi peas are great for clearing the sinuses...lol

MAPLE CHOCO BLISS (130 calories, 9g sugar) - Granola Clusters, Chocolate Cookies and Maple Toffee Snack Mix.. Unfortunately this was a melted mess and is in a giant clump because of the heat. Have to go through my list again and make sure anything that can melt is off my list until at least November..lol

SALTY CHICKS (130 calories, 3g sugar) - Sea Salt Chickpeas... Roasted chickpeas are one of my favorite snacks. The best is when they are hot and freshly roasted right out of the oven, of course. With our hotter temps right now, the last thing you want to do is fire up the oven. So these make a great substitute!

Overall review of this box: I always like Nibblr delivery days..although this was a 50/50 box for me.  As I said though, easy to adjust the preferences on the snacks to better ensure a better box next time..
... Again feel free to try the FREE box with my code 3842...

Hatchery July 2014 Subscription Box

Hatchery "delivers small-batch artisan ingredients and condiments to your doorstep every month." This is my third Hatchery box..as with the first two boxes ,the packaging and presentation were wonderful.  Even the tasting guide is beautiful, including a short story about the founders of each company and recipe suggestions.  Such great thought and care is taken into preparing this box to be sent out. Boxes are $20 a month, but they do run promotions all the time to try your first box for $10.

This is what I received in my July box (slight delay in delivery this month so didn't receive it until Aug 6th):

LAFAZA VANILLAS (Oakland, CA)- Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Bean ..I always look at the vanilla beans in the spice aisles but I have never used one before. I was very excited to get this and can't wait to use it.

BELLA NUT BUTTERS (New Orleans, LA)- Sunflower Maca Cinnamon Honey Nut Butter ...Opened this one right away to taste it as I have never had a sunflower butter before. It's very good and I'm already trying to think of a good way to use it. I have always loved peanut butter on warm French toast so may try some of this instead.

NOT KETCHUP (Santa Monica, CA) - Cherry Chipotle Dipping Sauce.. Love the description of this (cherries, chipotle peppers, apple cider vinegar and red onion)..I am going to be making some mushroom nut burgers that I think this will go perfect with!

MODERN GINGHAM PRESERVES (Denver, CO)-  Coffee'd Tart Cherry...Montmorency cherries blended with coffee liqueur and organic strawberries... YUM!  Suggested recipe is  a Plum Crustada but I think I am going to make an apple pie and mix some into it.. :)

FOGG CITY SPICE CO (San Francisco,CA) - Smokey BBQ Seasoning ..Has a great smokey smell..I know Barry will really enjoy this. He loves experimenting with new spices and rubs.

OTHER BROTHER COMPANY (San Francisco, CA)- Growers Blend "Shorty" Extra Virgin Oil Oil..I had already been planning on making some bruschetta very soon..I will include this into it!

Overall review of this box:  Hatchery never disappoints! Always such a great mix in every box. I love that it really gets me excited about trying new recipes and ingredients. Love it!

This was my 5th box so this was one FREE!  If you would like to try a FREE box please feel free to use my referral code/link: https://www.graze.com/us/p/BARRYF3NU

This is what I received in this box:

JALAPENO HOT CHIPS -  (Jalapeno jam with flax tortilla chips) 70 calories, 7g sugar ... hoping that the jalapeno jam has some spice to it!

SALSA CORN CHIPS - (Cilantro and lime salsa with flax tortilla chips) 60 calories, 2g sugar ....My Graze box came just in time for a snack today and this is the one I chose. I really liked the flax tortilla chips..I do like a spicier salsa though..this one I found to be too sweet. Added a few drops of hot sauce and that helped a little. Will end up "trashing" this option.  Would love to see some spicier options in the future.

APPLE & CINNAMON FLAPJACK - (Rustic rolled oat flapjack with apple and cinnamon) 240 calories,  16g sugar...I received a flapjack option in my last Graze box and really enjoyed them. Since they are over the calories and sugar grams I like to be at for a snack, what I ended up doing  is instead of using it as only 1 snack I stretched them out into 3 snacks. I either paired 1 flapjack with some fresh fruit or a couple raw nuts.  :)

EL PICANTE - (Paprika baguettes, spicy chili peanuts and jumbo corn) 130 calories, less than 1g sugar ... I can already tell I will like this one...!

Overall review of this box:  This was a good box, with a nice mix of flavors.  Just wished that the salsa would have had some heat to it.  As always though I love when my Graze box arrives and look forward to the next one in a couple weeks! :)

Whimseybox July 2014 Subscription Box

Whimseybox " is the monthly subscription and ecommerce shop for the DIY and craft community". Each month they will send a box full of  all the supplies needed to complete a DIY craft project. Boxes are $15 a month (including shipping). When I signed up for a Whimseybox account they sent an email to get my first box for only $10.

This is what I received
:

July's project is a jewelry making kit. Anyone who knows me, knows I never wear jewelry..LOL  not even a wedding ring!  So I did get a laugh that of all the DIY projects out there I would get a jewelry craft. I will however attempt this project (necklace) and if it turns out great you know what I will be giving away for Christmas!  LOL

Inside the box: Glue, Ear Posts (for earrings), Snake Chain (for necklace), Bail,  Sculpey Oven Bake Clay (1 white, 1 purple), Glass Glitter,  Razor (for cutting the clay)

Overall review of the box: Of course there was a bit of disappointment with this being a jewelry craft, but will give it a try. There was also an issue with late shipment delays on this months boxes. (July box didn't arrive until Aug 5th) With that said, in reading past reviews of Whimseybox there are a lot of positive comments and people enjoy trying new crafts. Hopefully I will be one of them and don't end up with a giant mess!  LOL

Dollar Shave Club July 2014 Subscription Box

Dollar Shave Club "sends high quality razors to your door for a few bucks a month". Prices are $1, $6 or $9 a month (including shipping) depending on the razor you choose:

The $1 a month option is "The Humble Twin" it is a 2 blade razor ("A great basic shaver, for guys who dig simplicity and precision") you get 5 cartridges per month

The $6 option is a "The 4x" aka "The Lovers Blade" it is a  4 blade razor, ("The last razor you’ll ever need - a gentle shave in a single stroke") & ("You will love this razor - and your girlfriend can use it too") you get 4 cartridges per month

The  $9 option is "The Executive"  it is a 6 blade razor ("The final frontier - it’s like a personal assistant for your face") you get 4 cartridges per month

The first time we ordered was last month (June) and we chose the $9 option "The Executive" for Barry. He loves this razor, every time he shaves he makes a comment on how nice it is. So I decided that I needed to try it for myself. I very easily switched our plan to the $6 option "The Lovers Blade".  I was very excited when my package arrived, I had been holding off on shaving my legs for a couple of days in anticipation of the razor..LOL  I have sensitive skin so I always use a goat milk soap when I shave. I have to say that I was really impressed. Normally the goat milk soap makes my legs very soft after a shave but they were even softer this time!  Love that! The hair on my legs grows so quickly that I sadly can start to feel stubble the next day, 2 days later and they are still smooth! I'm very impressed.

If anyone is interested in trying them feel free to use my referral link.  I will also receive a $5 credit if anyone uses it . Once you sign up you will be given a referral code as well that you can share with friends and be able to also get credit if they sign up with it  :)  My referral link:   http://www.dollarshaveclub.com/kimmjonesfurlotte

Overall review of the box..LOVE DSC!

Tique Box July 2014 Subscription Box "Backyard BBQ"

Tique Box is a monthly subscription box that is "filled with Portland's best hand-crafted local treasures."  Boxes are $34 a month (including shipping).  There is a promotion to receive $5 off the August box with the code $5OFFAUG

Portland has always been a city that I have wanted to travel to. When I first heard of Tique Box I immediately liked their Facebook page. A couple of months ago on the Tique Box Facebook page they ran a contest to help come up with the theme for the July box. The winner would receive a FREE box. I submitted a couple of ideas.  My theme of "Backyard BBQ" was chosen as the winning theme! So I was very excited when I was notified that "my" box was on it's way. :)

This is what is inside the box:

Fatdog Inc - (Sweet & Spicy with a Horseradish & Jalapeno bite Handcrafted Mustard!) ... I am a mustard fanatic. I have at least 10 different kinds of mustard in my frig at all times. Right now there is British, Creole, several Dijon's, Course Ground,  Honey Mustard, Yellow of course...and now Fatdog! This was the first thing I opened out of the box. I had no pretzels so had to go straight in with my finger..LOL  Loved it! You get the sweetness first and then the horseradish just takes over. Thinking of all the wonderful things I can use this for...pretzels, veggie dogs, sandwiches..even thinking it will make a nice side dipper to some homemade baked coconut shrimp.

ZenShine -  (Coco Lime Balm) ...I love lip balms. This one has such a nice pleasant lime scent to it that you can almost imagine yourself laying on a beach somewhere. Went on very smooth and leaves the lips feeling very soft.

Wooly Beast Design - (Locavore Shea Butter Soap) ..I have sensitive skin and usually use a goat milk soap. So I am excited to try this as I have never used anything with shea butter before.

YoshiniG Creative - (Butterfly print Note Card) ..This is a very simple but beautiful butterfly card.  I'm sure that whoever I choose to send it to, it will put a smile on their face when they open it.

Saucy Beast -(Smoked Habanero N Mango Sauce).. First bite you think it's kinda sweet and not too bad..then the habanero flavor punches your tongue! LOL  I already know I will be using this on some BBQ shrimp kabobs for myself! Whenever I make homemade wings for Barry he always says "they could be hotter"..We will see if he still says that when I mix in some Saucy Beast!  LOL *evil grin*

Vance Family Soy Candles -(Portland Rose scent) ...This is a lovely candle, love the little tin that it comes in. Candles are made with pure essential oils & organic flavor oils. The label is made with recycled paper. However, I will be giving this away as I am very sensitive to floral smells. Had it been a coconut, lemon, or vanilla scent instead I would have kept it for sure.

Overall review of the box: So much fun getting to discover parts of Portland without leaving my couch. Of course I still want to visit the city, but this is such a fun way of getting to learn more about the people there. I know Barry was hoping with the BBQ theme there would be more sauces, rubs & BBQ tools..LOL  but I liked the mix of products.  If you want to get a taste of Portland delivered to your house, don't forget to use the $5OFFAUG code for the August Tique Box!

Graze July 2014 (Box 4) Subscription Box

BROOKLYN BITES -  (Poppyseed pretzels, cheese cashews & roasted pumpkin seeds) 160 calories, less than 1g sugar ...this looks really good..sometimes I get such a craving for pretzels. This will be a perfect snack to fight that crunch craving!  :)

POMODORO RUSTICHELLA - (Cheese croutons, tomato baguettes & tomato and herb almonds) 120 calories, 1g sugar ....Sometimes my Graze box comes after I have already had my daily midday snack.. So excited that today it didn't and this was the one I had to open immediately!  Loved it and was very sad when I was done..LOL If I had a big bag of it I would have gotten more.  Which is another reason why I love having these pre-portioned snacks!

BROWNIE FLAPJACK - (Rustic rolled oat flapjack with brownie pieces) 250 calories,  15g sugar...Clearly this is way over the calorie & sugar gram range I like to be in. My plan is to make it into a two serving snack though, instead making it 125 calories & 7.5g sugar each serving. :) So I will get 1 1/2 flapjacks per serving and will pair it with some fresh berries to make it a 150 calorie snack :)  *girl math*!

TOMATO & BASIL PIZZA - (Basil crunchini, cheese cashews & mini tomato breadsticks) 120 calories, less than 1g sugar ... I already know I love the cheese cashews & tomato breadsticks.. So I am sure this will quickly become another favorite.

Overall review of this box: I always love getting my Graze boxes for the month. So easy to throw them in my purse when I am on the go. I normally prefer my boxes to be all savory snacks, but when they sweet craving comes I will be be reaching for my 1 1/2 flapjacks!  :) I was also so happy to receive another flag design box for me to recycle and re-use. Love them and hope that Graze will do that for every holiday.

Dottie Box (Mini) July 2014 Subscription Box

Dottie Box is "a monthly subscription service devoted to handmade gifts and independent artists." The have their regular Dottie Box ($20 + shipping) and also the Dottie Box Mini ($10 + shipping).

I signed up for the Mini box this month and this is what I received:

BROOKLYN LOVE DESIGNS (ETSY) - Key Fob... I truly needed this in my life. I am constantly losing my keys in my own purse. It drives Barry crazy when I have to empty out my ENTIRE purse to find them!  LOL  It has a very Summery floral design on it and I love it and put it on my keys immediately!

HONEYRUN FARM (ETSY) - Beeswax Candles..I will admit that the whole reason I got this box was for the beehive shaped candles. You know I have a huge obsession with the "Scripps National Spelling Bee" every year, and knew these would be so cute next year on a spelling bee themed table scape! Dottie Box was only sending one of the candles in each mini box..but they made an offer for anyone new signing up to get a bonus candle in their box. I of course signed up immediately and was so happy to see I had gotten both candle designs. There was a small imperfection on one of my candles. I contacted Dottie Box and their wonderful customer service handled it very quickly sending out a replacement.

Overall review of the box: I LOVED my first Dottie Box!  I look forward to getting to know other artisans in future boxes.
